The foundation’s mission, Restoring Hope, Rebuilding Lives, became more than a tagline. It was a lifeline for over 5,000 families who received much-needed relief during these trying times in the New Castle County area, Delaware.
In partnership with other NGOs and generous individuals, Silver Life Global Foundation set out to provide essential items to those most affected by the pandemic.
The foundation’s relief packages included food, medical supplies, clothing, and other basic essentials… Every item chosen with care to provide physical and emotional comfort during uncertain times.
The relief was not limited to individuals alone; communities were at the heart of this effort. Churches, daycares, and various public spaces were included in the distribution plan, ensuring the packages reached a broad swath of society, from families to caregivers.
Silver Life Global Foundation didn’t stop at handing out packages in central locations.
Volunteers went door-to-door, visiting homes and communities, ensuring that no one was left behind. From houses to churches, every corner of the community felt the warmth of this incredible effort.
“People were passing through so much during the pandemic,” says Florence Yirenkyi, founder of Silver Life Global Foundation. “We couldn’t just sit by; we had to help. That’s why we reached out to NGOs, partners, and even individual volunteers who shared our vision of giving back to those in need.”
The relief packages had a profound impact on the community. Families expressed immense gratitude, and many have continued to ask, “When are you coming again?” The sense of relief wasn’t just in the physical items delivered, but in the reassurance that someone cared, someone was there to help.
